OH / Business energy guide
Put your Ohio energy offers side by side.
Compare contract terms as carefully as electricity or gas prices.
Use the right comparison for each fuel
Energy Choice Ohio provides separate electricity and natural gas comparisons and links to certified supplier information. Availability depends on the account and service territory; assess each fuel separately.
Price is one part of the decision
A useful purchasing worksheet puts the supplier, term, rate structure, recurring fees, and renewal conditions alongside the price. Confirm that an offer applies to your business before treating it as an alternative to your current contract.
Check the current arrangement first
- Identify the utility and current supply provider on the bill.
- Check whether your account is covered by an aggregation arrangement.
- Locate your supply agreement and its expiration date.
- Ask what switching or ending that agreement would cost.
For businesses with both electricity and gas accounts, keep two comparison records. Their purchasing schedules, billing units, and supplier terms can differ.
Prepare for a rate review
Keep a recent bill, your current agreement, and the renewal date together. For each quote, record the term, charges included, cancellation conditions, and any broker compensation. Savings are not guaranteed; compare total costs and contractual obligations.
