New Jersey commercial accounts may be able to evaluate competitive electricity and natural gas supply. The service address and utility bill determine which rules, products, and suppliers can apply.
Public program information and supplier resources are available through NJPowerSwitch (nj.gov/njpowerswitch). Market rules are overseen by New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJ BPU). Confirm current rules and account eligibility before enrollment.
NEW JERSEY ENERGY FAQ
New Jersey permits eligible commercial customers to evaluate competitive electricity and natural gas supply. Eligibility still depends on utility territory, customer class, account status, and current program rules.
The regulated utility generally continues delivery, meter service, and outage response. A competitive supplier changes the supply arrangement where the account is eligible.
A recent utility bill, service address, utility name, account identifier, twelve months of usage when available, and the current contract expiration date provide a useful starting point.
