Massachusetts permits eligible commercial customers to evaluate competitive electricity and natural gas supply. Eligibility still depends on utility territory, customer class, account status, and current program rules.
The regulated utility generally continues delivery, meter service, and outage response. A competitive supplier changes the supply arrangement where the account is eligible.
A recent utility bill, service address, utility name, account identifier, twelve months of usage when available, and the current contract expiration date provide a useful starting point.
